Standard or extra dense?
Standard: dense chenille loops, flat enough for any door that opens over it.
Extra dense: according to the manufacturer, twice as many loops and a pile about 0.7 cm higher. More fibres means more surface for moisture to cling to. It is thicker, though, so measure under your door before choosing it for the entrance.
Big dogs and wet autumn weeks: extra dense. Low doors or indoor rooms: standard.

Express shipping (Germany only): €4.90. Ships within 1–3 days, delivery then 3–6 working days.
Austria and Switzerland: free. Ships within 1–3 days, delivery then 6–10 working days. In Switzerland, import VAT and a carrier fee may apply from a goods value of about CHF 62.

Ordinary doormats are made for shoes: bristles scrape off dirt, the water stays on the paw.
The loops take up the water.
Chenille microfibre has many small loops and so a lot of surface. Moisture soaks in between them instead of standing on the mat.
How it works.
No towelling, no towel by the door. Your dog just has to walk over it.

Step 1Walk over it.
Put the mat right behind the door. Your dog takes a few steps on it, that is all it takes.

Step 2The fibres take up the water.
The dense chenille loops wrap around the paw and draw water and loose dirt into the mat.

Step 3Into the wash.
When it is full: wash at 30 °C, dry flat, put it back.

Which size do I need?
33 × 50 cm fits narrow doors and cat flaps, 40 × 60 cm a normal front door. 50 × 80 to 70 × 140 cm give big dogs more steps on the mat before they reach the floor.
The extra dense version has more loops per area and so holds more moisture. It comes up to 80 × 160 cm, for hallways and patio doors.
How do I wash the mat?
In the washing machine at 30 °C, no fabric softener. Then dry flat, not in the tumble dryer.
Does it slip on tiles or parquet?
The backing is non-slip and grips smooth floors. On very smooth surfaces it helps to wipe the floor dry first.
Is it good for cats too?
Yes, for example in front of the litter box: the fibres catch litter that would otherwise be carried through the flat.
